How we calculate — no black box

    1. OutputkWp = number of panels × output per panel (Wp) ÷ 1000
    2. Annual yieldkWh = kWp × 950 kWh/kWp × factor (orientation, pitch). 950 kWh per kWp is a guide value for North Hesse with a south-facing roof at 30° pitch.
    3. Savings€ = yield × self-consumption × electricity price + yield × (1 − self-consumption) × feed-in tariff
    4. PaybackYears = investment ÷ savings per year (static; investment = kWp × €/kWp)

Factor by orientation and pitch (guide values)

Intermediate values are interpolated linearly. This table is a simplified approximation for Germany and is no substitute for a simulation (PVGIS or similar) at the actual site.
